About The Wine

Tasty, expressive with a very tannin feeling that will improve with bottle time. An ideal accompaniment for dishes of strong red meats, game and mild cheeses.

Sight: Intense cherry red with medium to high opaqueness. It is clean and bright. Brick and rust undertones appear on the hedge of the glass as a result of ageing in high quality woods.

Nose: Initially the most intense aromas are cooking, spices (cinnamon, cumin, vanilla…) that give way to more intense aromas of black and red fruits. Some hints of latic aromas and very clean leathers appears together hints of toffee, cocoa and a touch of animal and mineral tone.

Mouth: The first sensation is velvety, very elegant and delicate and then it opens up into a consistent base of very ripe tannins produced by the right evolution in the bottle. The acidity blends in perfectly with reminiscence of ripe red and blacks fruits, vanilla, cinnamon, toffee, cocoa, tobacco and exquisite flavour of clean leather.

Serving temperature: 15 – 18ºC

Recommended consumption of up to 6 or 7 years from it`s vintages.

The Vineyard

The wine is produced in a private vineyard from the winery Bodegas S. Arroyo. The vineyard covers an area of 32.4 acres in the county of Sotillo de la Ribera, located in the sunniest hill of Sotillo de la Ribera. The vintage is performed by plot of land, strain by strain and handmade once the maturity of the grape has reached is optimum point in order to ensure a high quality wine to our customers.

The luxurious and leafy vintage is composed by Spanish grapes, variety red Tempranillo.

Name: Tinto Arroyo.
Denomination of origin: Ribera del Duero.
Grapes: 100% Spanish red, Tempranillo.
Fermentation: Fermentation of selected grapes in stainless steel tanks at controlled temperatures.
Aging: 12 moths in American and French oak barrels followed by 3 months in old-style big French oak barrels (capacity 20.000l.) and 12 months in the bottle before is put on the market.
